Welcome to Laundry Express. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all orders placed through our website. By placing an order, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be notified via email and will apply to all future orders.

1) Definitions

• Website: www.laundry-express.co.uk
• Order: Laundry/dry cleaning request placed online
• Items: Garments/articles collected
• Services: Laundry and/or dry cleaning work
• Service Providers: External partners delivering services
• Event Outside Our Control: Unforeseen disruptions (strikes, weather, etc.)

2) Placing an Order

• Ensure address and item details are correct
• Contract forms upon email confirmation
• Keep your Order number for communication
• Minimum Order Value applies

3) Changes to Your Order

• Change requests must be made at least 2 hours before collection
• Requests within 1 hour may incur a £5 fee

4) Cancelling or Rescheduling

• Free cancellation up to 2 hours before collection
• Post-collection cancellations only if affected by external events
• Less than 2 hours’ notice may incur a £5 fee
• Once collected, cancellation rights are forfeited

5) Our Right to Cancel

• We may cancel due to:
  • External events (e.g. strikes, emergencies)
  • Items unavailable or unsuitable
• No charges apply if we cancel; items will be returned

6) Collection & Delivery

• We aim for timely pickups/deliveries but can’t guarantee it
• Less than 4 hours’ reschedule notice may incur a £5 fee
• Items unclaimed after 60 days may be donated/discarded
• Third-party or safe-place delivery is at your risk

7) Service Standards

• Reasonable care and industry best practices
• Not liable for damage due to:
  • Delicate fabrics without care labels
  • Pre-existing stains/damage
  • Customer-chosen cleaning at own risk

8) Wash & Fold Orders

• 30°C wash, medium tumble dry
• No ironing
• Items sorted by lights/darks (not guaranteed)
• Minimum charge: 7kg, regardless of actual weight
• No individual tagging — missing items not covered

10) Pricing and Payment

• Prices at www.laundry-express.co.uk/prices, incl. VAT
• Payment pre-authorised at Order; charged post-cleaning
• Failed payments may incur interest (3% above Barclays base rate)

11) Liability

• Max liability: 10x service cost/item, capped at £35 (with receipt)
• Without proof: 10x fee only
• No liability for:
  • Items over £50
  • Colour fade/shrinkage
  • Buttons, zips, embellishments
  • Business losses

12) Re-cleaning Guarantee

• Report within 24 hours
• We’ll re-clean free if original tag is present
• Some stains may be permanent — no guarantee

13) Vouchers & Promotions

• Subject to expiry and cannot be combined
• Minimum spend: £20
• Non-transferable, no cash value
• Use within 24 hours of activation

14) Personal Information

• Used to process Orders and deliver Services
• We may contact you about related services (you can opt out)
• We do not sell or share data except to fulfill services

15) Legal Terms

• We may transfer our Terms to another provider
• English law governs these Terms
• If any part is invalid, the rest still apply
